Writing about:
People | Places | Food | Culture | Art
It all started when…
… I was just a kid.
Of all the things I ever wanted to be when I grew up, “writer” was never among them. I guess that’s because I’ve always been one. I’ve been at it for as long as l can remember, scribbling stories, poems, and more since I was able to grasp a pencil.
For more than a decade now, I’ve been writing for hire about what I know best: people, places, food, culture, and the arts. During that time, I’ve written features for magazines, industry guides, and news publications like Coyote + Oak, The Wedding Standard, Edible San Luis Obispo, Wine Country This Month, and the Orcutt Pioneer newspaper. My writing has also appeared on websites and blogs such as SLOCAL.com, Vinazine.com, and Deep Thoughts for Breakaway Tours & Event Planning. I’ve enjoyed copywriting, ghostwriting, and content editing as well.
In reality, I’ve “been” many things in my lifetime. I’ve been a gymnast, a dancer, a hairstylist and makeup artist, a fitness professional, and a champion bodybuilder (yes, really). In addition, I’ve worked extensively in the food and beverage industry and studied human and behavioral sciences at the college level. All of it inspires me. And all of it has been worth writing about.
